Our Story
We started Planted because we saw the same thing over and over: Endless “opportunities” that weren’t really opportunities. Gatekeeping everywhere. Or you have to "network" which was just a code word for knowing the right people. Young people expected to work twice as hard just to get half as far.
We knew it could be better — so we built it.

Shreya Rao
Shreya Rao is the Founder and President of Planted.
She is pursuing a Bachelor of Environment at the University of Waterloo, where she was named the Sustainability Commissioner.
She is the Executive Secretary and Deputy Director of People Operations at Climate Cardinals. Her work has included working with the United Nations Association of Canada through their Building Young Entrepreneurs Program, serving on FUEL's Youth Advisory Council, and was named an Emerging Leader in Sustainable Finance by the GreenBiz Group. She has received numerous awards in leadership and sustainability!
